The solid peg that is the upper mount for the rear shock on this Serveta Jet is measuring 22mm in diameter, while normal Series 3 Lambretta shock bushing tubes are 18mm in diameter. Lets just say that fitting a new and expensive shock to this Jet isn't going to slip right on there.
Issue solved. I put a strong vice grip clamp on the tube and hammered it loose, allowing me to work it off. The seam was covered by powder coat.
