Estimating how much fuel & oil to add while at the station.
Hey everyone. I have another technical question to ask you all about.
I would imagine that seasoned vets probably know their scooters well enough to just pull into a station, eyeball the level, pour in some oil and fill the tank, just like a master chef can whip up a dinner from scratch. But I'm not at that point yet.
So how do you suggest a newby fill their tank at the station.
Do you carry a dip stip to measure the fuel leve of the tank?
A. If you use a stick, where do you stash it, under your saddle?
B. If you have the fuel cap with a built in dipstick, what do you think?
2. Do you carry small bottles of 2 stroke oil pre-measured? or do you use a large bottle and a measuring cup / bottle?
A. which do you prefer, cup or bottle?
3. Do you mix your fuel / oil ratio at 2% or 3%? I've read 3% for Lambretta, is that what you do?
4. What brand of 2 stroke oil do you prefer?
