Soft Seize, Now What
Over the weekend I joined the So Cal lambretta’s New years ride. I was a little pressed for time, so I left the group early and was hauling ass back to my truck. Riding up a long incline I thought the bike sounded louder than normal and as I was coming down the hill the bike just died. I pulled the clutch and coasted for a little, let the clutch out and it fired right back up. The rear wheel never locked up. Finished the ride to my truck with no problems. The next day I had to take a look, so I pulled the cylinder, and just as I thought some mild scoring, the piston is far worst than the cylinder. I could barely feel the cylinder scoring with my fingernail.
But what now?
It’s a LIS 150, converted to a 175 original crank with a SIL flywheel.
Hone the cylinder, replace the piston with the same standard size -62mm
Bore and hone cylinder replace the piston with 1 size up
Replace the cylinder with a new fancy kit- maybe BGM 195 or the Casa S200 or something else.
I am lazy about methodical break in’s and would prefer reliability over performance. My main go is to attend the Jamboree with my 12 year old daughter (riding 2 up) and not have any problems or have to “baby” it to prevent another seize.
Thoughts?

Isn't that plug really lean? Correct me if I'm wrong. I don't mind.
