Lambretta TIFO
Hey gang, I just wanted to share a TIFO I designed for the Portland Timbers 50th year season opener. The Timbers Army is one of the most prolific supporter groups in the MLS league. We love making TIFO's (billboard sized paintings that declare how much we love the Timbers).
This year I was asked to make a design that had a vintage scooter theme. So I made this design. The Timber figure is riding on a TV175 Lambretta. The two chase scooters represent the Vancouver BC White Caps and the Seattle Sounders. They are both riding on classic Vespa's.
A TIFO banner gets hoisted just after the National Anthem and is dropped just before the kick off. It has a very short life span. The network TV station usually do not show these TIFO's so most TV spectators don't know they exist. The only way to really see one is to be at the game, or look them up. Portland has had some of the most epic TIFO's in all of MLS. I hope that sharing these images here will help preserve them and inspire others to get creative. And for any MSL fans who hate the Timbers....Do me a favor and try and talk your club into doing a Lambretta TIFO! HA, Fat Chance. PTFC, RCTID, Timbers Army.

Just wanted to share what we are up to here in the RAINY PNW. We love our Timbers and We love our scooters. Long Live Vintage Scooters. Long Live Lambretta.
Rog.

Scooters and Soccer go together very well. Play on!!
