Where is the accounting?
Several posts here reflecting on the Bristol Jammy got me thinking about where was the Treasurer's report? I recall someone mentioning Thomas was unable attend. Even so there should have been a report forwarded to the other E-Board in attendance to report to the membership.
This is very concerning to me as there was no report in St. Louis last year as I recall. Our By-Laws clearly state in Section 6.02 the duties of the Treasurer include... "He shall regularly enter a full and accurate account of all monies and obligations received or incurred by him or her on account of the club. He or she may also help the Secretary perform duties, subject to the needs of the Executive Board. He or she should present the financial re-cap for the yearly meeting with monetary breakdowns for the club and financial forecasts for the year."
I'm not implying there is any funny business going on with our club and funds, but this is just basic business. Without financial transparency, the potential for abuse both from disgruntled members, or officers is possible.
No doubt this E-Board gets together periodically outside of planning the Lammy Jammy, can any interim reports be shared to the membership?

Can we have a report before the specialist ? If the bylaws states that a full financial report is to be available at the members meeting yearly then you should have one already to go. Why not just post it here and end it. I am assuming that all spending is tracked as it happens so putting a one sheet out as to what we took in on membership dues this year + merch profit - what was spent on jammy and normal yearly expenses shouldn't be that big of deal
. Why are we kicking the can down the road?
