Kentucky Jamboree Feedback

Since my feedback for this past Lambretta Jamboree in Kentucky is directly related to why I am posting it here instead of through the online form, I'm posting it here.

I don't think I should have to download a janky app full of pop up advertisements to use a QR code.

This happened to me 2 times during the Jamboree last week.

The first time was when I tried to scan the QR code for the ride route on both Friday and Saturday. The QR code sent me directly to a janky pop-up laden app, which I had to download. So I download this app and scan again. This time it sends me to another app I have to download if I want to get the riding route on my phone. At this point, I said screw it and deleted the janky QR code app and just followed the group and hoped I didn't get lost.

The 2nd time was during the banquet when feedback was requested. Again I scanned the QR code and again, the janky app. There was no way to bypass the app so that was that for me.

I dont think I should have to download an app to read a QR code since pretty much all phones can read them these days and none of us need to sell our soul to some app manufacturer to read them. (We already sold our data soul to the phone makers, but I digress).

That's my jammy feedback. Otherwise it was an excellent Jamboree. 😀

Seems weird. I didn't have to download an app. The QR code took me directly to the survey. I'm on an android phone, likley used Brave browser (my default that skips pop-ups and advertizing)
