Already bought one that was wrong, what should a fellow get for an EGT?
non-battery bike, hoping to mount in a glovebox, but may not have that sorted for a while.

Yeah, i bought a westach set, but got the wrong gauge, (needs power), so i'm sitting with a k-type sensor.

just return it for credit or a charge back
I have 2 of these set ups
love them
next time I get EGT and CHT I'll buy the TTO's

call Aircraft Spruce Billing Department
and ask them what setup I ordered:
it is 5 parts = a EGT/CHT gauge, 2 probes (one weld on and one for the spark plug ring), 2 lead wires
207.00 bucks = not cheap
last name Webb
eugene, or
they can tell you everything you need to know
or PM me if you want and provide your phone #

That Mychron 4 looks impressive! Not a priority for me currently, but curious nevertheless, can it run both EGT and CHT, or is it just one or the other? Reason I ask is it looks like it only has one temp input.

Looks like the discontinued Mychron 3 2T Basic has two temp imputs.

Does both temps.
I'll dig up a photo with how it's mounted, the bike has clubman bars so I fabbed up a simple bracket to mount it.
Internal 9v battery that has an auto shut off. About 3 years old, still holding a charge

I had the same setup as Spiderwebb and it was good. That said, if I were to get another temperature gauge I would go for something that shows a warning light when the motor gets to a user-programmable danger zone temp. Then I could concentrate on the road rather than trying to swatch the sweeps on the gauge. Archived This topic is now archived and is closed to further replies. Go to topic listing Next unread topic
