setting up the scootopia sh2/22

my s-2 w/gp engine has always had the o.g. sh2/22 delly on it and runs pretty good. decided "up grade" to the scotopia carb since mine were so old. pretty much the same carb but i wonder if the idle mix screw is to be set the same as my current carbs (1& 1/2 turns). i know that the jet-x carbs (the ones that work) is only a half turn to dial in. has anybody gone scootopia and dialed theirs in? is 1&1/2 good do ya think? i have twiddled around w/the mix and think i have it fairly smooth but someone that has one of these would know better so if anyone knows please do tell. thanks in adance for the help!

Jetex SOI-100 carb. Jetting suggestions or Is This Hot? 🙂

GP200. Sea Level (South Florida) 45 pilot. 110 main. 50 starter jet.

Starts great until spark plug looked like below when I took it out. Put fresh champion n2c (comparable to ngk 8) starts right up.

I thought it was running lean but looks like the spark plug is just like the pic I saw that says this is what it should look like.

Seems I should be getting higher speed, wot about 56mph.

1 1/2 out for air mix screw. What do you think?

Dell’Orto PHBL 24/Casa185/BMG Clubperson

Aloha.

Bike: ‘74 Serveta LiS150.

This should be a common setup. I’m only working with what was in the box (100 main, D22+D29 needle) so I’d love a clue.

Here’s what I have:

The Jet200 Dell’Orto PHBL 24 kit from Casalambretta USA

The Casa 185 kit (post-2022 manufactured)

I have a similar set up

PHBL 24

BGM 195

BGM Sport, but was a clubman until the bracket broke

I am also at sea level but in California

I messed with it quite a bit, but this is where I ended up:

Dellorto  PHBL 24

Main     102

Atomiser  Aq266

Pilot      50           *Changed from 51 after sport exhaust 03/16/24

Needle D26       3rd Clip Down

Float     300

Slide     40

Plug      BR9ES

For the most part I got it close myself but wanted a professional opinion and the guys a scooter speed dropped the main from a 108 to the current 102.

Another thing to note is the 300 float, my carburetor came with a 200 and I was told this could have the potential for fuel starvation, which is obviously a lean condition.

Good luck!

Dellorto jetting specs.

Like with the mikuni post, looking for peoples set ups with Dellorto so we can compare and contrast.

Which Dellorto? I have the PBHL on my Li150, but the engine has other issues that don't give me confidence the jetting is close. I put the same carb kit on my buddies 150 and he is running foam filter with BGM box, jetted 58 Idle, needle on the second clip and 105 main. Dyno results came back it was pretty dialed in, a touch rich on the main, but that's how we do.
